MEET THE COACHES

Brian Dobak
Director of Golf

Brian is a former PGA Golf Professional and was the Head Coach from 2013 to 2022. His goal was to reinvent the high school golf experience. Coach Dobak quickly took our program from a 54% winning percentage to a 79% winning percentage and had a coaching record of 100-27-1. He coached one player to back-to-back individual conference championship wins, a first in program history. He coached three players to the PIAA State Championship and two to the PIAA Regional Championship, more than any other golf coach in school history. He coached five players to compete on the NCAA level, more than any other golf coach in school history. He was nominated for a National High School Coaches Association Golf Coach of the Year award (2017), a Positive Coaching Alliance Coach of the Year award (2019), and a USA Today Pennsylvania Golf Coach of the Year award (2020). Brian resigned his position after the 2022 season to coach on the NCAA Division 1 level at La Salle University. After two years there from 2022 to 2024 and 3 team wins and 2 individual wins, Brian returned to our program as the Director of Golf in 2024. Having now coached on both the high school and college levels, Coach Brian brings a deeply rich and well-rounded understanding of the personal, academic, and athletic challenges of young student-athletes, and how to guide them forward. Brian, his wife, Stephanie, and their two daughters, Mackenzie (10) and Sadie (8), live in Willow Grove, and he is the Pastor at Streamsong Church in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.

"I love golf, and I believe high school golf is a severely under-appreciated and overlooked avenue for growing the game of golf, and mentoring and investing in young men and women in tangible and creative ways. Our mission is this: to promote the game of golf and our student-athletes by continuously striving to develop the greatest high school golf experience in America."

Jack Hirsh
Head Coach (Varsity)

Jack Hirsh returns to the Rams as head coach after lettering for four years under Coach Brian and serving as captain his senior year in 2015. He is a 2020 graduate of Penn State University, earning degrees in broadcast journalism and political science. Jack spent two years working at a TV station in Bend, Oregon, primarily as a Multimedia Journalist/reporter, but also producing, anchoring and even presenting the weather. He was an Assistant Editor for GOLF Magazine from 2022 to 2024. He has been an Associate Equipment Editor for GOLF Magazine since 2024. Jack still *tries* to remain competitive in local amateurs. Before becoming Head Coach, Jack served under Coach Brian as a volunteer assistant coach in 2022.

"It’s an absolute honor and a privilege to be back at my alma mater and continue the tradition Coach Brian started. I look forward to leading this program and helping our student-athletes not only become better golfers, but better people too."
