Brian Dobak
Volunteer Director of Golf

Brian played golf for Unionville High School ('98) and York College of Pennsylvania ('02). He is a former PGA Golf Professional having worked at DuPont Country Club, Sea Island Golf Club, The Ford Field & River Club, and the Philadelphia Cricket Club. Brian was our Head Coach from 2013 to 2022. During his time, his goal was to reinvent the high school golf experience and create an exceptional experience for the student-athletes. Coach Dobak quickly took our program from a 54% winning percentage to a 79% winning percentage and had a coaching record of 100-27-1. Twice his teams qualified for the PIAA District One Team Championship. He coached one player to back-to-back individual Central League titles; Three players to the PIAA State Championship and two to the PIAA Regional Championship; And five players to compete on the NCAA level. He was nominated for a National High School Coaches Association Golf Coach of the Year award (2017), a Positive Coaching Alliance Coach of the Year award (2019), and a USA Today Pennsylvania Golf Coach of the Year award (2020). Brian has consulted with several high school golf coaches around the country seeking help in elevating their golf programs. Brian resigned his position after the 2022 season to try his hand on the NCAA Division 1 level at La Salle University. He began his two year stint as the assistant coach and ended it as the head coach. After two years there and 3 team wins and 2 individual wins, Brian returned to our program as the volunteer Director of Golf in 2024. Having now coached on both the high school and college levels, Brian brings a deeply rich and well-rounded understanding of the personal, academic, and athletic challenges of young student-athletes, and how to guide them forward. Brian's favorite golf courses are Oakmont Country Club and The Old Course at St. Andrews, and his lowest round ever is an even-par 72. Brian, his wife, Stephanie, and their two daughters, Mackenzie (10) and Sadie (8), live in Willow Grove. For his full time job, he is the Pastor at Streamsong Church in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.

"I love golf, I love high school golf, and I want to see all high school golf programs grow and be successful in their context. I believe high school golf is a severely under-appreciated and overlooked avenue for growing the game of golf, and mentoring and investing in young men and women in tangible and creative ways. Our mission is this: to promote the game of golf, grow high school golf, and champion our own student-athletes by continuously striving to develop the greatest high school golf experience possible."
