The following code of conduct is a framework of boundaries intended to allow all student-athletes to have the best experience possible in our program.
GOLF COURSE ETIQUETTE
We believe the golf facilities we visit is a privilege and the following golf course etiquette is required in honoring the hosts who give us use of their grounds.
- No obscene language or offensive behavior and/or jokes
- No throwing or slamming of clubs
- No causing damage to your equipment or the golf course.
- Repair ball marks
- Replace divots
- Rake bunkers
- Appropriate golf attire with shirts tucked in are required at all times.
- Team issued uniforms and hats are required for all matches and tournaments.
- Members and staff of host courses
- Opposing coaches and players
- Harriton coaches and staff
- Harriton teammates
- Bus drivers (Click HERE Harriton High Schools bus policy)
CELL PHONE POLICY
We believe cell phones have the potential to be very disruptive to performance as well as those around us, and excessive use of cell phones can negatively impact the time the teams spend together. Policies for use of cell phones are both subject to the rules of the golf courses we visit, as well as our programs own rules. Our programs rules are that the use of cell phones are prohibited on the golf course while playing in matches and events with the exception of use of a range-finder app or emergency use. If using for an emergency, we advise you to not allow your emergency use to distract your teammates and opposing players. Cell phones are prohibited after matches while the team is waiting for groups to finish. Cell phones are allowed on the bus, as well as at the school while waiting for a bus. But we advise you to not allow cell phones to keep you from being engaged with your teammates in this context.
DRUG, ALCOHOL, AND TOBACCO POLICY
Drugs, alcohol, and/or tobacco will not be tolerated and students will abide by the policies of the Harriton High School’s rules against drug, alcohol and tobacco activity. Click HERE for the "LMSD Student & Family Guide" and scroll down to pages 99-105 for LMSD's drug, alcohol, and tobacco policy.
