COLLEGE GOLF RECRUITING

One of our aims is to be a developmental program for those student-athletes who aspire to play golf on the college level. Playing on the college level is a fun and rewarding experience. The following are those who have gone on to play on the college level:

In our program, not every student-athlete goes on to play in college, and that's okay! However we do believe it is our responsibility to expose you to college golf so you can be as informed as possible. One of the ways we do this is by bringing in local college golf coaches to talk to the Varsity and JV teams. Every so often, we seek to bring in a coach to share with the students what it is like to play in college and how to get recruited, whether it's on the DI, DII or DIII level. The coach will also share with the students what they can expect when they participate in a collegiate program, and what coaches expect from their student-athletes. We've brought in the following coaches...

2013 - Jim Wilkes, Head Coach at Villanova University
2016 - Brad Kane, Head Coach at La Salle University
2018 - Ben Feld, Head Coach at Drexel University

In the course of four years in the program, a student-athlete can hear and learn from at least one college coach. This is all an attempt to give you the best experience possible as a high school golfer, and to equip you to make an informed decision about what is possible on the college level.

The likelihood of walking on to a college golf program without any preparation in your high school years, is very low. If you are interested in playing golf in college, the process starts your freshman year. Coach Brian has coached on the D1 college level, and the coaching staff is available to help you with the following:
  • Navigating the NCAA recruiting timeline and NCAA recruiting guidelines.
  • Building a summer tournament schedule that fits your goals for collegiate golf in the future.
  • Identifying D1, D2, D3, NAIA schools and golf programs that might be a good fit for you.
  • Developing a "playing resume"
  • Developing an online player profile
  • Putting together a highlight video
  • Letters of Recommendation
