In the Harriton Ram Golf Program, we like to play for something greater than ourselves. We link up with the HHS Ronald McDonald House Club to support the Ronald McDonald House of Philadelphia in providing families with seriously ill children with a community of comfort and hope. We do this through our annual Birdies for a Cause in which we recruit donors to donate a dollar amount of their choice for every birdie our Varsity team makes during the season. The First Tee of Philadelphia is a great way to partner with an organization in the community that gives under-privileged children and young adults the opportunity to learn about and enjoy the great game of golf. Every season, upon the seasons conclusion, we rally the team together to take inventory of their garages and basements, and build a collection of golf equipment (clubs, balls, gloves, shoes, etc.) that will be dropped off to The First Tee. The First Tee relies heavily on the efforts of programs like us and people with a likeminded interest in golf and giving back.
